
Sandy Amphitheater's 2010 concert schedule is jammed
With 23 different concerts and events scheduled, the 2010 concert season at Sandy Amphitheater is packed with national acts and local favorites.
Among the nationally-known artists coming are John Waite on June 5, Eddie Money on June 18, Restless Heart on July 9, Arrival: The Music of ABBA on July 28 and former Chicago lead singer Peter Cetera on Sept. 10.
Local favorites also scheduled include Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand on June 4, Sam Payne and Cherie Call on June 19, Eclipse on July 10, Jon Schmidt on July 17, Peter Breinholt on Aug. 1 and Colors on Sept. 11. The annual Sandy Arts Guild Showcase takes place on Sept. 13, with a Broadway musical theme.
Other highlights include "Guys and Dolls," the Sandy Arts Guild musical, to be performed Aug. 20-28. The Orchestra of Sandy City will perform on June 30, the Pioneer Heritage Festival takes place July 14, Utah's Best talent show will be on stage on Aug. 3, and the second annual International Folk Festival will come to town Sept. 1. Free-For-All concerts are also held on various nights throughout the summer with no tickets required.

Tickets to all shows go on sale Monday, May 17 and can be purchased at any Smith'sTix location, charged by phone at 1-800-888-TIXX or (801) 467-TIXX, online at www.sandyarts.com/amph or at Sandy City Hall, 10000 S. Centennial Parkway, room 310, weekday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The box office at the Amphitheater opens at 6 p.m. on the night of shows only and stays open until intermission. All shows begin at 8 p.m. unless noted.
