'Cinderella' to be performed by Mountain West Ballet
Mountain West Ballet's spring production, "Cinderella," will be performed May 14 and 15 at the Sandy city Amphitheater. The community-based non-profit ballet company has dancers representing approximately 26 dance schools, colleges and universities throughout Utah.
Performances will be at 8 p.m. both nights, with a 2 p.m. matinee performance on May 15.
"Our spring production at the Sandy City Amphitheater has entertained the community for the past 10 years and we believe our adaptation of 'Cinderella' has something to offer audience members of all ages," artistic director Masie Lancaster said in a release. Lancaster, along with dance instructors throughout the Salt Lake Valley, encourages students to audition for and participate in Mountain West Ballet's semi-annual productions as a means of enhancing their performance skills and sharing their talents.
