Insurance can be hard to navigate but having an agent with your best interest at heart can make those decisions easier. The Nationwide Insurance agency at 55 West and 10600 South has five agents with more than 40 years of combined experiences. Dan Sherwood, Forrest Pritchett, Jon Geertsen, Steve Merrin and Linda Burns are committed to making your insurance buying experience the best it can be.
Nationwide has been in business for 80 years and has just recently expanded into the Western U.S. The Sandy office opened up in March to serve the south end of the valley.
One thing that sets Nationwide apart from its competitors is its commitment to the customer. Dan says that at least once a year, Nationwide performs an "On Your Side Review," which makes sure that the customer has the insurance they need.
Most companies don't meet with their customers after the initial sale.
"We are all about our customers," Dan says. "We meet with our customers to review what's going on with their lives and see what we can do to protect their dreams."
They cover all aspects of their customers' lives and sell auto, home, life, and commercial insurance. Nationwide is one of the premier writers of commercial insurance products and they work with a lot of local businesses. Nationwide is also the largest agribusiness insurance writer in the country.
Dan says Nationwide agents have a serious commitment to serving their communities and volunteering. The Sandy agency was a big supporter of the recent Scout O' Rama held at the South Towne Expo Center and other local community based events.
"You might not see Nationwide on a lot of billboards, but you will see us out in the community and supporting the people," he says.
Each of these agents is very involved in their communities and they make it a priority to be supportive. Dan is involved with the Herriman High School football booster club and says being involved with the kids is a lot of fun and gives him the chance to know the people in his community.
By being a part of the community at the ground level, he says they focus on building long term relationships with their clients, which helps provide exactly the kind of protection they need for the different stages in their lives.
