Sandy Arts Guild announces auditions for 'High School Musical Jr.'

Auditions for the Sandy Arts Guild production of Disney's "High School Musical Jr." will be held Thursday, Feb. 3 and Friday, Feb. 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sandy Parks and Recreation building, 440 East 8680 South. To reserve an audition time, go to http://www.sandyarts.com and click on the "High School Musical Jr." window.

Needed are boys and girls who are middle, junior and high school age. All parts are open. Auditioners need to be prepared to sing 16 bars of an up-tempo musical theater/pop piece. Please bring sheet music, no minus tracks or recorded music. An accompanist will be available. Auditioners also need to be prepared to learn a short dance combination. The directors have requested that all auditioners bring a list of scheduling conflicts from Feb. 5 to April 16, a current photo and resume.

Callbacks will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Sandy Parks and Recreation building. There is a $20 fee for those cast in the show. If more than one member of a family is cast, the fee for additional family members is $10.

Disney's "High School Musical Jr." plays April 14-16 at Mount Jordan Middle School 9360 South 300 East, Sandy. The play will be co-directed by Britani Cavaness and Eric Richards.
