Brinton Atkinson flies with the Eagles
On Nov. 22, Crescent Park Sixth Ward Varsity Team 7331 had the pleasure of recognizing years of hard work, perseverance, and countless hours spent earning merit badges and many nights camping in the forest. This was the celebration and Eagle Court of Honor for our new Eagle Scout, Brinton Atkinson. Brinton has done much more than just complete the provisions for rank advancement and requirement fulfillment. He is traveling the road to becoming a fine young man.
The highlight of the court of honor was the presentation and display of Holly, a beautiful golden eagle. Symbolizing strength, honor and courage, Holly gave the audience a glimpse of the majesty that made the eagle the choice to be America's emblem of freedom.
The court of honor was held at the Crescent Park Sixth Ward. Brinton joins his older brother Jarem as Eagle sons of Dan and Julynne Atkinson.
Congratulations to our new Eagle. He will serve as inspiration to our next generation of soon-to-be Eagles, and as a source of pride for his parents and peers. Less than 5 percent of the boys that enter the Boy Scouts program become Eagle Scouts. Our new Eagle joins that special group of achievers.
