College Planning. College planning includes much more than simply a career goal. This presentation stresses the importance of organized planning and research as a means of obtaining goals, and presents the different types of colleges that students may choose from when planning their future.

Gone: True-Life Adventure Stories. Story One: “The Polar Bear Swim.” Never one to shrink before a challenge, the author has a feeling (or is it a lack of feeling?) deep down, that this time might be different. Story Two: “Life in the Fast Lane.” Snow, rubber and gravity meets Viking DNA, youthful exuberance and redneck engineering to create the greatest luge track outside of Norway. Steven Law has been an outdoor/adventure writer for 17 years. His work has appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines, including Backpacker, Outside, Sunset and Arizona Highways. He is a member of the Steven Law Storytelling Troupe.

Teen Movie Matinee. Join us once a month to watch your favorite movies on the library big screen, for free. They provide the snacks. This month we will be watching the movie adaptation of the popular book, “Flipped” by Wendelin Van Draanen.

The Yo-Yo Man. Utah's own world class Yo-Yo Man has dazzled audiences all over the world with his intricate and physic-defying yo-yo tricks. Dale's shows include a one-hour performance followed by a one to one-and-half hour hands-on workshop for aspiring yo-yo masters. Feel free to bring your yo-yo to practice.
