This is a landmark event. Nordic hosts its First annual Grandparents Ski Free Week March 11-15. Grandparent of any age receive a free lift ticket when you bring your grandchild. Buy a lift ticket for your granchild 8-18 and you get a free lift ticket. If your our grandchild is 7 or under, both you and your grandchild get free lift tickets.
Nordic
Valley's slopes are meticulously groomed. It
has chair lifts, a magic carpet for learners, a terrain park, day and
night skiing and a day lodge built to resemble a country barn.
It's located in Eden, about 14 miles from Ogden. It's about a 1 hour drive from the Salt Lake City area.
The 140 acre resort skis big. The runs
are surprisingly steep, good solid blue runs. The beginner slope is
the best I've ever seen. It's gentle and wide, wide, wide open.
Neighboring horses peer over the boundary fence.

Why Grandparent Ski Free Week is so important
It's grandparent power! Research shows that when grandparents teach their grandkids to ski -- or ski with their grandkids -- it sticks! Ninety-five percent of those kids continue to ski later in life. Nordic Valley is the first to recognize the importance of grandparents.
"Nordic Valley is the small hometown resort where making memories with the next generation of snow sport enthusiasts start. Nordic provides a family friendly learning environment that experiences become traditions that last a life time," said Sarah Abney, Nordic Valley's spokesperson.
