Orange lilies, iris, cacti, red hot poker, oak, Kentucky coffee tree saplings, yarrow, mint, aloe – there was something for everyone. Neighbors bonded over plants and traded growing tips during the biannual White City plant swap held in late September at Big Bear Park. Some shared seeds and cuttings or starts of indoor, outdoor, edible plants and native species while others answered gardening and landscaping questions.
