Bassil Kurdi was selected as the winner of Zions Bank’s “Lights, Camera, Save!” video contest. The Alta High student’s video, “Some Play Checker, Winners Play Class,” encourages students to be strategic about their finances.
Contest entries were judged based on messaging, creativity and production value. Bassil received $500 and moves on to the national competition, sponsored by the American Bankers Association.
“We appreciate Bassil for his creativity and hard work in expressing the importance of automating your savings,” said Paden Mecham, manager of Zions Bank’s Southtowne Sandy branch. “His video was fun and delivered the message in an engaging way.”
