At Altara Elementary, students seemed to step straight out of the 1950s with boys in white T-shirts and jeans and girls with ponytails and wearing poodle skirts. The choir brought the era to life, delivering a lively lineup of  50’s nostalgic hits including “Splish Splash,” “La Bamba,” and “The Purple People Eater.”
