Don’t miss Sandy’s 18th Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025! Enjoy early morning hot air balloon launches on Friday and Saturday morning, weather permitting. Then join us Saturday evening for our Balloon Glow-- dance party, inflatables, drone show and free activities. EARLY MORNING BALLOON LAUNCHES (*weather permitting): Dates: Friday & Saturday, August 8 & 9 Time: Sunrise (approximately 6:30 a.m.) Location: Storm Mountain Park - 980 East 11400 South Highlights: Tethered rides will be available first-served, first-come 50-80 feet in the air! We’ll also have food trucks, free balloons and a morning DJ. (Hot air balloons will launch weather permitting.) SATURDAY EVENING BALLOON GLOW (*weather permitting): What’s a Balloon Glow? When the hot air balloons remain on the ground, and the burner is ignited creating the balloons to illuminate in the dark! Date: Saturday, August 9 Time: 7:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Location: City Promenade - 10000 S. Centennial Parkway Highlights: Hot Air Balloon Glow, food trucks, DJ dance party, bounce houses, free face painting/balloon twisting/caricatures, and a spectacular drone show! SPECTACULAR DRONE SHOW (*weather permitting): Date: Saturday, August 9 Time: 10:00 p.m. (weather may alter start time) Location: City Promenade - 10000 S. Centennial Parkway.
