During the 11th annual Utah Brazilian Festival, downtown Salt Lake City will be transformed into a Brazilian getaway. Admission is FREE to the celebration of art, culture, music and cuisine at The Gateway on Saturday, September 12. Festivities kick off with a Samba Parade on Rio Grande Street featuring Brazilian dancers, drummers and musicians in traditional garb at 1 p.m. followed by performances from Brazilian bands Marcio Mendes and Rose Max & Ramatis, dance workshops and a rain forest animal exhibit. The Gateway is partnering with Tucanos Brazilian Grill and the Viva Brazil Cultural Center for this exciting cultural experience.
